5 Question Friday

Posted by 17 September, 2010

Every Friday, Mama M. hosts 5 Question Friday, here are my answers to her 5 questions. If you are feeling motivated, leave a comment answering the 5 questions about yourself, I love to learn about my readers!

1. What is the first nightmare you remember?

Yikes! This is, unfortunately, an easy one for me. I had this reoccurring nightmare when I was a child that I still VIVIDLY remember. It was about giant spiders (bigger than our house) coming and attacking my family. They were always snatching family members and basically cocooning them. It was super scary, and to this day I do NOT like spiders! Yuck!

2. Even if you’re not a sports fan, what’s your favorite sport to play/watch?

Not a sports fan, say what?!!?!? I am a die-hard Florida Gator fan. I LOVE college football. I can talk trash and stats with the boys. I know my football, and I don’t miss a game! Don’t mess with me during football season! Go Gators, beat Tenn!

3. If you could pull off one piece of trendy fashion, what would you want it to be (jeggings, hats, thigh high boots, etc.)?

Ohhh, I would want to pull off all of the trends that my sister looks FAB in! Mostly I would love to be able to wear heels again… I had bunion surgery in 2007, and my poor foot hasn’t been the same since. I used to live in heels, now I can only wear shorter heels for short periods of time… I miss heels. I also miss having a reason and a place to wear all the trendy stuff. Chasing around a toddler, a funky t-shirt and shorts with flops is my day-to-day wear.

4. Did you make good grades in school?

LOL. I was a maniac for good grades. I made straight As, always. After graduating 3rd in my HS class (I made 1 or 2 Bs), I made my 1st (and only) C+ in college, and I was damn proud of that C+ b/c I worked my tail off. In my world, I HAD to have As. In fact, even my blood type reflects my need for good grades. Yep, I am A+ We will go into my neuroses for achieving top marks and why it  made me a stress ball another time. LOL

5. What magazines do you subscribe to?

Oh goodness, I am a magazine junky! Hello, that’s what I do for my real job! Let’s see my current subscriptions are for Parents, Parenting, All You, Real Simple, OK, Family Circle, Working Mother, Fast Company… I think that’s all right now. Oh and I work for PLAYGROUND Magazine, feel free to check us out!

    1. I had a nightmare that the Incredible Hulk was in my room, I can still remember screaming all night long and my parents were ready to kill me! Three times they came into my room that night and I swore to them he was in my room hiding! I think that nightmare started because my mom used to let me watch that when I was a little kid and it terrified me when the guy transformed into the Hulk. To this day, I still cannot watch reruns of the Hulk or see pictures of Lou Ferrigno without trembling!
    2. LOVE watching NBA, especially the Orlando Magic (been a season ticket holder for years)!
    3. I would love to wear a pair of skinny jeans but that will never happen since I am a curvy girl!
    4. Yes, I was a good student except when it came to Algebra. That was the only class I received a C in.

    1. Yes, I had a recurring nightmare also. Mine was about a shark. I think it had something to do with the fact that my dad let me watch part of Jaws when I was like 7 or 8 and I was always scared of sharks after that.
    2. Love love love football. I am an Ohio State Fan (but since I live in Florida now I do, on occasion, root for Florida!) I also am a Buccaneers Fan too
    3. I would probably say anything that only tall people can pull off. I am shorter and curvy and just cannot pull off things like super long maxi dresses. I just look like a little kid wearing her mom’s dress.
    4. Yes, and I am not sure why. It came so easy to me and I hardly ever remember doing homework. But I was almost all A’s and the very occasional B.
    5. Readers digest, Everyday Food, and Family Fun
